knowing

celebrating the end of our national exams, me and udin off for a movie. right after school time, we're goin to lapiazza. we choose lapiazza based on reasons below :
1. we're out of money. hahaha :) and its cheap to watch movie there
2. at first, we planned to see our beloved meirna at a hospital nearby. she got dbd. but when we call her, she said that she's not in the hosp anymore, so our plan cancelled. it's all about movie!

after looking for movie schedule, we decided to watch a movie titled KNOWING.
heres the movie's synopsis

in general, KNOWING is a gripping action-thriller of global proportions about a professor who stumbles on terrifying predictions about the futureand sets out to prevent them from coming true. In 1959, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule. But one mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead. Fifty years later, a new generation of students examines the capsules contents and the girls cryptic message ends up in the hands of young Caleb Koestler. But it is Calebs father, professor John Koestler (Nicolas Cage), who makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts with pinpoint accuracy the dates, death tolls and coordinates of every major disaster of the past 50 years. As John further unravels the documents chilling secrets, he realizes the document foretells three additional eventsthe last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve John and his son. When John's attempts to alert the authorities fall on deaf ears, he takes it upon himself to try to prevent more destruction from taking place. With the reluctant help of Diana Wayland and Abby, the daughter and granddaughter of the now-deceased author of the prophecies, John's increasingly desperate efforts take him on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster and the ultimate sacrifice.

for me, the movie is so-so. the plot's quite good, but ended up a bit strange (for me).. with all the aliens and ufo (based on my interpretation to those creatures and rides). i like cage's role as a great-smart-loving-caring-protecting father. and i hate a role named Diana Wayland (played by rose byrne). for me she's just tooooooooooooooooo.. dunno. i just dont like her. :P

the greatest part of this movie is cage's son, CALEB (Chandler Canterbury). he's sooooooooo damn cute :)
heres his pic

if you guys could recognize, he also took part in the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", as 7 or 8 years old Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt).. cute, young talented! hihi i love this lil guy :)

well that's all for today. tomorrow i still have russian tryout and mimic photoshoot for my yearbook :) after that, me and udin plan to eat sushi tei, fulfilling my words month ago. :D
i'll post the pic asap.

hav a nice wekend everyone!

P.S : i almost forget, today's my little sissy's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
